Specialist Psychological Assessments

Comprehensive, specialist assessments focused on harmful sexual behaviour and broader psychological functioning. Delivered face to face nationwide, with clear, structured reports suitable for professional and court use.

Who for:

Solicitors, social workers and other professionals seeking specialist psychological assessment in complex cases.

When needed:

  • If there are concerns around harmful sexual behaviour

  • Understanding risk, needs and appropriate interventions

  • There are complex behavioural or emotional presentations

  • Cases requiring formal psychological input for decision making or court proceedings

Fees:

Typically £2,000 to £3,000, depending on complexity and scope (approximately 20 to 30 hours of work)

Training

Specialist training delivered across the UK, designed to build understanding, confidence and practical skills when working with complex cases involving trauma or harmful sexual behaviour.

Who for:

Professionals including social workers, educators and safeguarding leads.

When needed:

  • Lack of confidence managing complex or high risk cases

  • Uncertainty around appropriate responses to harmful sexual behaviour

  • Gaps in trauma informed understanding

  • Need for clear, practical guidance for frontline staff

Fees:

£750 per day (for bespoke packages, please enquire)

£1000 for a series of four 1-hour “Lunch & Learn” webinars covering topics such as harmful sexual behaviour, sexual behaviour in younger children, sibling sexual behaviour, pornography, and intervention approaches

Training

Consultations

Remote consultation sessions (typically 60 to 90 minutes) to provide specialist advice, guidance and direction. Can be one off or part of an ongoing series. Optional written summaries or reports available.

Professionals and, in some cases, parents seeking expert input on a specific case.

When needed:

  • Uncertainty about how to manage a complex case

  • Need for specialist input without full assessment or treatment

  • Ongoing case guidance and decision support

  • Developing a clear plan for next steps

Fees:

£100 per hour for consultation

Additional reports typically require around 2 extra hours (£200)

Ongoing consultation packages available (e.g. a series over 12 months)

Treatment & Therapy

Ongoing, face to face therapeutic support based in Edinburgh. An integrative approach tailored to the child. I draw on a range of approaches to make sure we see real progress.

When needed:

  • Trauma related emotional and behavioural difficulties

  • Harmful or problematic sexual behaviour

  • Emotional regulation difficulties, shutdowns or distress

  • Challenging behaviours impacting home, school or relationships

Who for:

Children and young people, typically referred by parents or professionals such as social workers.
